Earthlings Video

Part 1 Part 2 Part 3

This is copied from the Google videos page:

EARTHLINGS is a feature length documentary about humanity's absolute dependence on animals (for pets, food, clothing, entertainment, and scientific research) but also illustrates our complete disrespect for these so-called "non-human providers." The film is narrated by Academy Award nominee Joaquin Phoenix (GLADIATOR) and features music by the critically acclaimed platinum artist Moby.

With an in-depth study into pet stores, puppy mills and animals shelters, as well as factory farms, the leather and fur trades, sports and entertainment industries, and finally the medical and scientific profession, EARTHLINGS uses hidden cameras and never before seen footage to chronicle the day-to-day practices of some of the largest industries in the world, all of which rely entirely on animals for profit. Powerful, informative and thought-provoking, EARTHLINGS is by far the most comprehensive documentary ever produced on the correlation between nature, animals, and human economic interests. There are many worthy animal rights films available, but this one transcends the setting. EARTHLINGS cries to be seen. Highly recommended!

I found this video when I read this from someone named Aaron:

I think this film is very important for people to watch and share... I have shared it with a lot of friends and family... Many of them cannot bear to watch it through...

Many of them cannot get past the first part...(Pets) They run out crying... shocked...
The statistics themselves are shocking enough... especially along with the visual imagery...

But it is important that we are not ignorant of these truths... That we understand how we live and effect our home, Earth...

I discuss, with the people I show the film to, their feelings about the film... and ask them to ask themselves what they do when they eat meat... I explain that through their ignorance about what really happens and their continual eating of meat, they are willingly supporting these killings...
That they should really think and more importantly FEEL about what they are contributing to...

I have friends who also have watched the film and can continue to eat meat... I lose respect for them...

I feel that if anyone can watch this film through to the end they would become vegetarian instantly... If they have a heart... This film makes you see meat as a dead animal and not a tasty meal...

It is up to others to make their decisions about how they live... Up to them to live how they want...

That wont stop me from trying to get people to live responsibly... to become conscious beings and to try to, individually, stop the human race from being such a cancer on our beautiful Earth...

Vegetarianism shouldn't be a trendy way of life... It should be a positive choice for what is right!

We must fight for this... It is our responsibilty to become active in this and many other fields... Because it is pretty clear that "letting people find their own way" has done worse than nothing... it has devolved our planet... it has truly begun to fuck it up...

Our world is dying...
It is time to change...

Actively.

Truth, Love, Courage, Peace, Hugs & Harmony...

Note from Steve

I cried when I watched this. And I thought a lot about CC who, at 14, touched me with her passion about how we treat animals. I saw many similarities in how we treat animals with how children and teenagers are treated as I watched the video. Note that it is about an hour and a half long. I had other plans for today, but watching this changed them.

Some day I would like to be able to produce something of equal quality to convey what I have learned about how children and teens are treated in homes, schools, mosques, churches, synagogues and mental hospitals around the world.
